I'm not sure I believe this...

blog readability test

I think it's just all the theological terms, terms which, perhaps, the algorithm behind this test is not designed to deal with. Or something. I HOPE it's not true because if it is, then the educational system in this country is worse than I thought.

Thank you, ma'am. I guess I am concerned about being easily understood.

I have an older sister living in Columbia, SC. She's like that too. Must be something in the water. : )

She was raised Baptist but goes to church with me when she visits. The most amazing thing happens when she attends Divine Liturgy. She always weeps.

LOL. Something in the water? Maybe. (Or, more likely, something in the culture; I first came to SC in 1981 and I'm still in culture shock.) I am not given to tears, at liturgy or otherwise, although Khouria Susan has been known to cry at Qurbana. Regarding your sister, I have often said that all Christians, regardless of tradition, should experience a Byzantine Rite Divine Liturgy at least once, and, if only once, at Pascha.

Her name is Hope and she has attending the Byzantine Rite at my church 3 times. She is always deeply moved. She knows her Bible very well and sees how it is evident in the words of the Liturgy. She especially loves the part about putting on Christ, and this visit she heard these words: "By death He has trampled down death and to those in the tombs bestowed life." The tears nearly leapt from her eyes. God is good!
