I'll probably check out the channel at some point.

But honestly, I'm actually commenting because I was wondering if you could recommend a nice book for a beginner who wants to learn more about the Orthodox tradition. No apologetics please. Just something you'd recommend for someone genuinely interested.

Sorry to intrude on the thread. Best wishes.

No problem, Seth. Thanks for dropping by. I'd be happy to recommend a couple of such books.

Both are written by Kallistos Ware, a well-known bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church in the UK.

The first, The Orthodox Church, is widely considered to be the standard English language introduction to the Orthodox Church, at least in its chalcedonian, Byzantine interation.

The second specifically concerns Orthodox Christian spirituality. It is called The Orthodox Way.

Thanks Greg. Appreciate it. I've been reading Todd Wood's "Prodigal God" book recommendation and liked it. I felt in the mood for another good book from a non-Mormon source.
